In conjunction with representatives from the FBI Los Angeles Field Office and FBI Headquarters, members of the FBI Los Angeles Citizens Academy Alumni Association (CAAA) Chapter embarked on a 4-day insider tour to Washington D.C. from April 19 to April 23, 2015. The FBI LA CAAA Chapter participants had the esteemed opportunity to visit the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia for a unique behind-the-scenes campus tour coupled with briefings from Academy staff. Trip participants got to see first-hand how agents are trained, traversed Hogan’s Alley and the infamous Bank of Hogan, toured the cutting-edge FBI Forensics Laboratory, and saw the Hostage Rescue Team training facilities. Participants also attended a series of presentations at FBI Headquarters (J. Edgar Hoover Building), toured its state-of-the-art situation room and facility, and were provided with an impressive firearms demonstration in the indoor firearms range. The extraordinary excursion also included an insider tour of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Headquarters where participants engaged in an in-depth discussions with CIA representatives, as well as a comprehensive tour of the U.S. Capitol Building. The priceless trek was capped off with a grand dinner at the famous District Chop House where memories and lifetime friendships were formed.
