Margaret Otto is the owner of Realm Workspace which provides professional co-working space for entrepreneurs, creatives and remote teleworkers without the contractual commitment and expense of leasing and furnishing an office.
As an active business owner, volunteer, and mother of four, Margaret saw the need for a distraction-free and productive work environment away from the home and coffee shops and created the first co-working space in the South Bay in Los Angeles.
Combining a diverse array of professional talent in community leadership, education and training, communication and outreach, Margaret is highly focused on supporting the success of businesses, individuals and organizations in the community.
Margaret serves as Board Member and Training Director for the Junior League of Los Angeles, promoting community improvement by empowering women to flourish as civic leaders. She is also the Vice President of Communications for the FBI Los Angeles Citizens Academy, elected member of the Pacific Council on International Policy, fundraising chair of Birney Elementary PTA, a member of Sandpipers, and a very active member of the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce.
She is an alumni of Southern California Leadership Network, leadership LA and graduated from Indiana University with a BA in East Asian Language and Culture and Business. She is fluent in Japanese.
Margaret and her husband run their own very successful boutique concierge web hosting company.
When Margaret is not working or volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She enjoys traveling, skiing, going to the beach, reading, shopping, and watching movies. She previously lived in Montana, Australia, Chicago and Japan before settling in Los Angeles.
